  1. Selflessness does reward. But we cannot expect rewards for acts of selflessness. If we do, then the acts are not selfless.
    Modern psychiatry does not recognize selflessness. It suggests people perform selfless acts in order to get recognition or to feel good. We can act anonymously to eliminate recognition, but we can’t help feeling good. Because no one, except God, can judge the heart - did I do it to feel good, or did I do it without expecting to feel good – psychiatry can neither prove nor disprove selflessness. So, if a good feeling rewards a selfless act, regardless of our expectation, then praise the Lord.
